Delia Gon�alves joined the Eyewitness News Team in February 2003. A native of New Bedford, Massachusetts Delia is delighted to be back in Southern New England after a brief stint as a health reporter for WGGB in Springfield, Massachusetts. Before relocating to Western Mass, Delia worked as a general assignment reporter for AT&T 3 News based in Fall River.

After graduating from Emerson College with a Bachelor�s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, Delia moved to the Nation�s Capital. During her brief but memorable stay in Washington, DC, Delia worked on Capitol Hill before moving on to NBC Nightly News.

Delia feels privileged to be her working close to friends and family in the Southcoast and looks forward to forging a bond with the Rhode Island community. In fact, Delia feels connecting with people on a personal and professional level is the best part of her job.

Even when the camera�s off Delia serves her community as a member of the YWCA of Southeastern Massachusetts and the International Church of the Nazarene. Delia enjoys traveling, listening to poetry and live music, as well as spending time with friends and family.
