Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. About 100 people have left their homes after a freight train derailment near Los Angeles.

Ten cars of a Union Pacific freight train derailed in San Bernardino, California. They were carrying pesticides and other chemicals. No leaks have been reported.

One fire official tells K-A-B-C television in L-A that two cars contained chlorine and two others contained residue of what appeared to be liquid propane.

Authorities report no injuries. They're investigating the cause of the derailment.
